AI Dev Enablement Engineer

We are looking for an AI Dev Enablement Engineer to support the rollout and adoption of AI-powered developer tools across a global engineering organization. This is a hands-on role at the intersection of developer productivity, platform engineering, AI tooling, and technical enablement.
You will help engineering teams adopt tools such as Cursor and Claude Code, resolve setup and workflow issues, create practical documentation, and build lightweight internal tools or automations that make AI-assisted development easier, safer, and more effective. This is not an ML research role — the focus is on enabling engineers to use AI tools in their daily development workflows within an enterprise environment.

What you will do
- Lead the rollout of Cursor and Claude Code across engineering teams, helping with migration, setup, configuration, and troubleshooting.
- Support engineers across different environments, including Windows, macOS, WSL2, and Linux on EC2.
- Resolve technical blockers related to IDEs, LSPs, build tools, dependency managers, SCM, corporate proxies, TLS, certificates, and environment configuration.
- Create concise playbooks, quickstarts, troubleshooting runbooks, FAQs, and known-issues documentation.
- Evaluate agent skills, MCP servers, and similar tooling for fit, usability, and security.
- Build small internal tools, CLIs, services, or automations in Node.js/TypeScript or Python to streamline engineering workflows.
- Partner with Cybersecurity to ensure AI tool configurations and internal tooling align with company standards.
- Identify product gaps, propose practical workarounds, and run small pilots or A/B tests to improve adoption and reliability.
- Define and track adoption and impact metrics such as setup time, tool usage, support issues, developer satisfaction, and workflow improvements.
Required
- 5+ years of experience in developer productivity, DevEx, platform engineering, AI engineering, or application engineering.
- Hands-on experience with Node.js/TypeScript or Python, with willingness to work across both when needed.
- 1+ year of practical experience with AI coding tools, specifically Claude Code, Cursor, or close equivalents.
- Strong troubleshooting skills across IDEs, LSPs, build tools, package managers, dependency managers, SCM, and local development environments.
- Experience working in enterprise network environments, including HTTP proxies, TLS/MITM, certificates, trust stores, and environment configuration.
- Experience building small services, CLIs, automations, or developer tools.
- Ability to write clean, observable, maintainable code in Node.js/TypeScript or Python.
- Strong technical writing skills: playbooks, FAQs, runbooks, quickstarts, and golden-path documentation.
- Clear verbal communication with engineers, platform teams, and security partners.
- Data-driven mindset: ability to define metrics, instrument adoption responsibly, analyze results, and provide practical recommendations.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
Nice to have
- Experience with agent skills, MCP servers, or similar extension/plugin ecosystems.
- Familiarity with Anthropic tooling.
- Exposure to Java and/or C++ environments, especially for teams using IntelliJ or Visual Studio.
- Experience operating in regulated, enterprise, or security-conscious environments.
- Finance domain experience is a plus.
