Lead

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced CI/CD Platform Owner to lead the strategic direction, management, and operational excellence of our CI/CD platform. This individual will be responsible for ensuring that our CI/CD processes are efficient, scalable, and aligned with business objectives. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in CI/CD practices, vendor management, and cross-functional collaboration, along with proven leadership experience managing a team of 5-7 professionals.

What you will do

Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a team of 5-7 engineers, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment. Set clear goals and expectations, provide regular feedback, and support team members in their professional development.

Platform Development and Management: Lead the design, development, and management of a robust CI/CD platform for application delivery. Ensure the platform's scalability, reliability, and security across different environments.

Operational Excellence: Ensure the smooth operation of the CI/CD platform, including monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance tuning. Implement automation and CI/CD processes to streamline deployment and management tasks.

Strategic Planning: Collaborate with senior management to define strategic goals for the CI/CD platform. Develop and implement a roadmap for platform evolution, incorporating the latest technologies and best practices.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with other teams, including development, security, and operations, to ensure seamless integration and support for the CI/CD platform.

Vendor and Stakeholder Management: Engage with vendors and external stakeholders to secure resources, resolve issues, and align platform development with business objectives.

DevOps Best Practices Ambassador: Act as a champion for DevOps best practices within the organization. Guide and mentor teams to adopt and implement DevOps methodologies, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.

 

Required

Experience: At least 10 years of experience in software development, DevOps, or CI/CD roles, with a proven track record of managing CI/CD platforms in an enterprise environment.

Leadership Experience: At least 3 years of experience in team management and leadership, with a proven ability to lead, mentor, and develop a team of engineers.

Technical Skills:

  • Strong understanding of CI/CD tools and practices (e.g., GitLab CI, Github Actions, Jenkins, Azure DevOps).
  • Familiarity with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
  • Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform) and configuration management tools (e.g., Chef, Ansible, Puppet).
  • Proficient in Linux systems and infrastructure management.

Communication Skills: Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across teams and stakeholders.

Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex CI/CD issues and drive resolution.

Product Development leadership Skills: Experience in project management methodologies and tools, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively.
