Microsoft 365 / SharePoint Engineer
We are seeking a Senior Microsoft 365 / SharePoint Engineer to lead the day-to-day operations and evolution of SharePoint Online, OneDrive, and collaboration platforms within a large, global enterprise environment.
This is a hands-on engineering role, which combines technical expertise with practical troubleshooting and user engagement, requiring the ability to diagnose issues, understand business challenges, and quickly deliver practical, user-focused solutions
The role demands deep Microsoft 365 expertise, strong development and automation skills, and extensive use of AI-powered tools such as Copilot for Microsoft 365, Copilot Studio, GitHub Copilot and intelligent agent-based solutions.
You will act as the senior technical authority during EMEA business hours, serving as the primary escalation point and technical decision contributor for SharePoint, OneDrive, and associated collaboration services.
This is not a routine administrative position. You will develop solutions, build advanced AI-driven automations, troubleshoot complex production issues, and continuously improve the collaboration platform experience for business and engineering stakeholders.

What you will do
Senior Platform support (EMEA Daytime)
- Run the day-to-day operation of SharePoint Online and OneDrive for a large enterprise user base
- Act as the technical point of presence during EMEA working hours for incidents, escalations, user requests and troubleshooting issues
- Translate business user inputs into clearly defined problems and requests
- Understand users’ challenges and define problem statements
- Prioritize work based on business impact and user / stakeholder seniority
- Define and enforce usage standards, lifecycle practices, and operational controls
- Drive platform stability, performance, and continuous service improvement
Engineering, Automation & AI
- Work with SharePoint Online from a developer and solution engineering perspective
- Design, develop, and maintain Power Automate workflows and Power Platform solutions
- Build advanced automations enhanced with AI. Implement AI-driven analytics, insights, and automation to improve operational efficiency and user experience
- Run solutions that integrate Copilot for Microsoft 365 into real business workflows
- Work extensively with platform APIs
- Support the migration of users, content, and workflows from legacy Box into SharePoint and OneDrive
Operations & Troubleshooting
- Engage with end users, understand challenges and troubleshoot issues
- Analyze Microsoft 365 logs, audit data, and telemetry to diagnose platform issues
- Troubleshoot complex production incidents across SharePoint, OneDrive, and related M365 services
- Open, manage, and drive resolution of Microsoft Premier / Unified support cases
- Perform root cause analysis and generate solutions
- Support and integrate adjacent collaboration tools like Teams and Zoom
Collaboration & Communication
- Work closely with software developers and platform engineering teams
- Communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Understanding user needs and pain points
- Provide guidance, best practices, and hands-on support to teams using M365
- Operate calmly and effectively when supporting senior internal clients
Required
- 4+ years of hands-on experience with SharePoint Online in large enterprise environments
- Strong practical knowledge of the Microsoft 365 ecosystem
Proven experience with:
- Power Automate
- Power Platform concepts
- Microsoft Graph API and REST-based integrations
- Hands-on experience implementing Copilot for Microsoft 365
- Experience building automated solutions using AI
- PowerShell scripting for Microsoft 365 administration
- Experience analyzing logs, diagnosing complex issues, and managing vendor escalations
- Experience in troubleshooting real user issues
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to operate independently and drive platform-level technical decisions
