We are looking for a proactive Lead QA Engineer to join our development team. The team focuses on platforms and services related to the Investment Book of Records (IBOR) — a centralized, real-time (or near real-time) data source that aggregates and provides accurate, up-to-date investment data, including trades, positions, cash balances, and other securities transactions.

What you will do

What you’ll be working on

  • Build QA processes and define testing strategy from the ground up
  • Develop and maintain backend automated tests (Java)
  • Design and execute test cases based on functional and non-functional requirements
  • Perform integration and regression testing across upstream and downstream systems
  • Investigate issues through log analysis and deep system understanding
  • Collaborate closely with developers, BAs, and DevOps to embed quality into the delivery process
  • Support and maintain testing environments
  • Understand and apply business-specific logic in the investment data domain

Required

What we’re looking for

  • Strong experience in backend test automation (Java)
  • Ability to work independently and learn complex business domains quickly
  • Solid knowledge of Java and SQL
  • Familiarity with APIs and distributed systems
  • Experience in reading and analyzing logs
  • Good understanding of QA practices and SDLC
  • Confident English communication skills (both spoken and written)  

Nice to have

Nice to have

  • Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g. GitLab, GitHub)
  • Familiarity with observability tools (e.g. Datadog, Splunk)
  • Experience working in Linux environments
  • UI test automation experience
